What Happens During the LASIK Procedure?

Dr. Lam will begin by creating a flap on the surface of your cornea, which is the transparent dome at the front of your eye. Then, he will move the flap out of the way to access the inner layers of the cornea.
Next, he will reshape the deeper layers of your cornea to correct your refractive error. Once the reshaping is complete, he will reposition the corneal flap, which will heal naturally during your recovery.
